Your health, safety, and wellbeing are our top priority. Cold exposure can be powerful — but only when done responsibly. Please read this guide carefully before use.
⚠️ General safety
- Always place the Cocoon on a flat, smooth, stable surface.
- Avoid use during thunderstorms or extreme weather.
- Do not stand, jump, or place heavy objects on the bath.
- Never use the tub unless it's fully stable.
- If using with the Monk Shiver, Shiver Pro, or any other chiller, follow all electrical safety precautions in that chiller's own user manual.
- When not in use, drain and dry the tub thoroughly before storage.
- Children should not use the Monk Cocoon.
- Never use under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Always follow the setup, maintenance, and operating instructions in the full user manual.
- Always listen to your body, and never push past your limits.
- Start with shorter sessions and gradually increase your exposure.
- Exit immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, short of breath, or unwell.
- Always use the lid when the tub isn't in use, to keep debris out and help retain temperature.
- Tip: the lid isn't symmetrical — align the Monk logo on the front of the lid with the logo on the lip of the tub for the best fit.

⚠️ Health considerations
Cold water therapy isn't for everyone. If you're unsure, always consult a medical professional before use. Do not use Monk Cocoon if you:
- Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
- Have a heart condition, irregular heartbeat, or cardiovascular problems.
- Have high, low, or abnormal blood pressure.
- Have epilepsy or a history of seizures.
- Have had recent surgery or a history of aneurysms.
- Have an open wound.
This list isn't exhaustive. If you have a question about a condition not listed here, or you have any of the conditions above, we strongly recommend speaking to a doctor or medical professional before use. Failure to do so could result in illness or injury, and Monk cannot be held responsible for any negative consequences resulting from user negligence.
