This warranty applies to Monk Cocoon baths supplied to commercial/business customers under a Monk for Business account. It does not apply to standard (residential) Cocoon units — see the Monk Cocoon Limited Home Use Warranty for those.
1.0 Warranty Period
Monk offers a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery to the original commercial end user.
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship arising under normal commercial use, subject to Section 10 (Monk for Business Subscription Requirement).
Coverage includes repair or replacement of defective components, or replacement of the unit if a repair is not feasible.
2.0 Component-Specific Warranties
This warranty covers:
- Tub structure: defects in hard shell, valves, or materials causing air or water leaks under normal commercial use.
- Fittings and connectors: defects in components provided by Monk that prevent proper use or connection.
3.0 Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, surface marks, or minor aesthetic changes from use.
- Damage caused by sharp objects, pets, or environmental exposure (e.g. sunlight, freezing).
- Damage or discolouration caused by chemicals other than those specified in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide, or by concentrations outside the specified ranges.
- Damage caused by failure to perform the mandatory manual surface skimming required for Cocoon, which uses base-intake filtration only and has no automated surface skimming.
- Damage caused by failure to change the water at or before the TDS threshold outlined in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide
- Damage caused by failure to follow the correct water treatment and filtration protocols outlined in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide
- Use of third-party accessories that are not Monk-approved.
- Operation contrary to Monk's care, setup, and maintenance instructions.
- Self-repair, modification, or unauthorised servicing.
4.0 Operating & Safety Guidelines
To ensure continued warranty coverage, you must operate and maintain your Cocoon strictly in accordance with:
- the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide, the current version of which is hosted athttps://help.discovermonk.com/hc/en-gb and supersedes any prior version or printed copy; and
Cocoon has no automated surface skimming (base-intake filtration only). Mandatory manual skimming, as set out in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide, is required to keep the warranty in effect.
Failure to follow this guidance — including water chemistry, skimming, filtration, and water change requirements — may void your warranty.
5.0 Service Process
Your Monk for Business Subscription includes access to priority support, with first reply times within 48 hours of contact. Our team will diagnose issues and repair/replace as a top priority.
5.1 Remote Troubleshooting
All warranty claims begin with remote troubleshooting. You may be asked to provide photo or video evidence, including water testing records, to support diagnosis. Failure to provide this may delay or invalidate a claim.
5.2 Repair, Courier Replacement, or Technician Visit
If a covered defect is confirmed, Monk will arrange repair, component replacement, or unit replacement at its discretion. Replacements may include refurbished units that have been inspected, sanitised, and tested to "as new" standards.
This warranty does not guarantee a specific repair or replacement turnaround time or an on-site service level agreement.
6.0 Remedies and Warranty Continuation
If a defect covered under this warranty is confirmed, Monk will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
Any repaired or replaced product remains covered for the remainder of the original 12-month period; the warranty period does not reset or extend.
7.0 Procedure for Claims
Contact support@discovermonk.com or raise a ticket at discovermonk.com.
Include your order number, delivery date, issue description, recent water testing records (bromine/pH/TDS), and supporting photos or video. Monk will assess eligibility and confirm next steps.
8.0 Customer Responsibilities
- Maintain water chemistry within the ranges set out in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide, including but not limited to:
- Perform mandatory manual surface skimming daily.
- Change water at or before the TDS threshold or the 14-day cap, whichever is sooner.
- If using with a chiller, follow all filter maintenance procedures.
- Cleaning and water treatment using products recommended in the Monk for Business Maintenance Guide
- Maintain an active Monk for Business Subscription for the covered unit.
- Report defects promptly.
Failure to comply with the above may void warranty coverage.
9.0 Monk for Business Subscription Requirement
This warranty is conditional on maintaining an active Monk for Business Subscription for the covered product throughout the warranty period. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, warranty coverage is suspended from the date of lapse and does not apply to defects arising, or claims made, during any period without active cover.
This condition applies to Monk's discretionary warranty cover only. It does not affect, exclude, or limit any statutory rights available to you, as set out in Section 11.
Extension of the Monk for Business subscription beyond the warranty expiration does not extend warranty coverage. All other benefits, including priority support and discounted filter supply continue.
10.0 Post-Warranty Support
Monk provides paid replacement and repair support beyond the warranty period, subject to parts availability and an active Monk for Business Subscription.
11.0 Additional Terms
