The user manual says it can't get wet, how can I keep it outside?
Shiver Pro is IPX4 rated. This means that it can withstand short periods of light rain or occasional splashing. It cannot withstand submersion or a direct stream from a shower or hose. If you are keeping your Shiver Pro outside, we recommend covering it from above to protect it from torrential downpours. Note that when covering it, it is important to ensure that the product remains well ventilated, particularly along the two long faces where air is drawn in and expelled via the fan.
Many users choose to position their chiller under a structure or outdoor furniture.
What should I do if my Shiver Pro is outside and the temperature is due to fall below zero?
It is important to empty the chiller, bath and hoses when temperatures drop to zero to prevent damage. When water freezes, it expands, and can damage the hoses, connectors, or internal system. To drain the chiller, open the drain valve and allow water to empty from the chiller.
Will my Shiver Pro still work if it's outside in hot temperatures?
Shiver Pro can operate in temperatures between 1 and 45 degrees Celsius, and relative humidity of 20% to 85%. Cooling times my increase at higher temperature or humidity. For optimal performance in warm whether, keep the chiller and bath out of direct sunlight.
