Changing the water or emptying your Origin is simple whether your Origin is located inside or outside. You'll use the 6m hose provided to pump water from the bath and into any drain or receptacle.
Step 1: Turn Origin off. Open the hatch doors and wait until the cooling unit fan is stationary.
Step 2: Connect the 6m hose to the hose pipe connector on the left side of the cooling unit, and place the other end in a drain or sink. You'll be able to reach any drain within 6m using the hose provided, but if you need a longer reach, simply remove the connector from the hose and connect your own
Step 3: Turn the blue handle on the drain valve away from you to open the valve 45°, which will let the water flow
Step 4: Turn Origin on, and after 60 seconds it will automatically start to drain
Step 5: When the water level reaches just above the internal black nozzles, turn Origin off (never let it go past this, as it will pump air through the system which could damage it and void your warranty)
Step 6: Return the drain valve handle to its original position to close the value. Remove the hose, and close the hatch doors
Step 7: There will be a small amount of water left in Origin, which can be removed manually, or via an external submersible pump
Step 8: Remove the filter housing and discard the water left in the filter housing, following Changing Monk Origin's Filter guide. You may wish to change the filter at the same time
Step 9: The inside of Origin can then be dried with a cloth or towel
Frequency ⏰
Every 2 months at minimum, depending on usage. We recommend coinciding with a more regular filter change if you're using your Monk multiple times a week, or if you're getting in sweaty
